Currently the executive chef for Va Bene Italian cuisine and executive chef for Arizona Event Catering, Chef David has twenty years of Sous and Executive Chef experience in up scale fine dining.
Chef David was a corporate trainer for a larger restaurant chain before taking over the kitchen of Giordano's Italian Cuisine in Mesa. After 6 years, Giordano's closed it's door as the owner retired from the business. Chef David then became the Executive chef of Va Bene in Chandler, AZ. This is where Chef Chris and Chef Dave were re-introduced and joined forces in the catering business. Chef Chris has been quoted as saying, "David is the best thing that has happened to this company. His passion for quality ingredients and amazing ability to create flavors that are intense and beyond my own ability."
Arizona Event Catering is only that much better now with Chef David and we are very excited to have him aboard.
25 years in the Italian restaurant business Chris started out making pizzas at his family's infamous Papa Jay's Pizza in Fiesta Mall at 10 years old. From Pizza to Italian Cuisine to catering, Chris has spent many years combining his families "straight from Italy" recipes with classic culinary technique to bring a fresh and delicious experience. "Saltim boca!" Litterally translates to "hops in your mouth."
"It is my personal goal to take modern technique to age old classics creating a menu which all items can be equally regarded as a "hops in your mouth," sensation."
